49er en la Extrem Sailing Series

The 49er Class is looking for more participants for the next 3 Acts of the Extreme Sailing Series: --Sept. 16-18: Trapani, Italy --Sept 30-Oct 2: Nice, France --Oct. 12-16: Almeria, Spain Judging from the experiences from the 49er teams in Boston & Cowes and the 50,000+ spectators on-site, plus the media coveage at both, this is a great event for sailors and sponsors to get some exposure for yourself, your team and the 49er class. See what Trevor Parekh said after Boston: "The event is amazing and does create amazing visibility for the class in front of thousands of spectators (and surely even more so on the internet!), it is great fun for the 49er sailors , they treated us like kings, which was quite nice. All in all, it was an incredible experience. The ESS organizers are professional and very accommodating. The sailing is cool – way different than anything that you’ve ever done. And the VIP suite is quite fun! This is a good thing for the class and we should work to maximize our visibility and to be sure to be back next year, perhaps with a bigger class sponsor that ties in with ESS…" See the 49er Action at Day 4 of the ESS in Cowes: http://youtu.be/RLPFRxayru0 This is our first year of partnering with the ESS and we see some need for improvement but if we don't have more than 2 boats in the next events, the ESS will put another class forward. At this point you don't need to commit to all 3 events, but we do need to have more teams at the events. PLEASE contact jerelyn@odmsail.com if you are serious about attending one of the above events. We'll get you information about accommodations, meals & logistics from ESS to make planning easier. Let's show ESS that the 49ers are also interested in showing that skiff sailing is moving forward to show the public how exciting sailing can be. Thanks - give it a try!
